Bit of a break

I have been away from the game for a bit. There have been too many distractions in my life at the moment to have any time to sit down and accomplish tasks in the game.

Hopefully, I will be back up and running soon, but with many of my next few weekends booked with travel, I don't see it happening!

Ninja Taru

Wanted to post a pic of my kick butt taru NIN. Last night in the jungle gained two levels. I have about 1k in to 27 on NIN right now. I was doing great damage last night. Several weapon skills were hitting for 80 to 90'ish with my highest being 91.

Cool Weekend.

So after i hit 73 on my BLM i started looking at the Igqira set. I now have 3 of the parts and i am just missing the leggs and feet. Here is a couple of screen shots. ^^




I think with my next income boost i am going to buy the leggs they are 1.4 million. However for the feet i am going to camp the NM so that i can get that shell to drop. I started leveling my NPC again her name is Pimy.

Oh and one last thing playing with my NPC we normally do a compression skill chain so i waited and waited for the right timing when my HP was low and we could burst a drain. Was really nice .

A Very Good Day to be BLM.

Ok to so one my goals for gear was the Jet Seraweels. So last night we are having an LS meeting and one of the LS memebers shouts that Jaded Jody is up and he asks does anyone need this kill. I have been watching her for about 10 mins. So i quickly shout YES. So i ask to put the LS meeting on hold and for people to come help me. So i get some brave people to come and tackle this NM. Two people were already at camp and i shortly arrived there after with the rest of the party in tow. I am at camp no more than 2 mins when i see Jody claimed. I start to cry, curious to see who claimed this Monster i walk over and see this lonely 75 THF/nin. People in my party say that he will quickly die and to get ready for claim. Well after about 10 mins of soloing this THF has done 0 damage due to it being night time and Jody haveing regen at night and the THF has take 1% damage. So we are just waiting and watching and waiting and watching and so on....

All of a sudden here comes a NIN ally for the THF. My party is like oh man. So these two start whacking on it doing decent damge but the mob is still regening faster than they can damage. So after a while both the THF and NIN get hit with bad breath and with no mage in party nor any med's to self fix they start are surely dead. Now just for clearifaction i am not sure what all bad breath does status wise. But it did stop the NIN from getting up his shadows. So paralyze and or silence come to mind. Soon after bad breath the NIN dies and the THF is left with about 12% life roughly. Then out of no where anohter ally shows up to aid in this fight and its a RED MAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!. The RDM cast cure what ever and the THF's HP is back to about 40%. RDM starts casting raise on the NIN and he is raised. At this time our party is thinking well we can get TOD and semi camp it. We weren't sure of repop conditions, place holders or just pops, or like overgrown rose in the jungle that spawns from not killing the mob for like 24 hours. So we are talking about what we should do and getting ready to move on. Then all of a sudden like a PUK out of HELL this thing comes flying at us. Apparently the RDM slept a PUK a while back and didn't do what ever to get rid of it. So this puk comes flying around the corner past our party, literly scared the crap out of me i thought i was dead. It starts whacking on the RDM and the other melees dont help. I guess they think that if they help on the puk they will lose claim on the NM. Not sure why risk it in the heat of battle. So their gamble to not help the RDM doesn't go well in their favor. The RDM shortly dies after 3 or 4 hits from puk (YEA TARU HP Pool, oh wait i am taru also =(). So the puk disappears thanks to the MPK patch. Now we are left once again with a 40% THF and a weak NIN tank. Once again out of no where the THF has anohter NIN ally show up. It's as if this THF has countless numbers of people to just throw at the mob. This second nin is much better than the first at keeping shadows and such. Then for some reason something happens i don't know what because of filters, but my cursor was on the NIN and i started watching his HP go down. I thought to my slef for a second about the new rules and enough hate and such. I was thinking with these 3 being very low on health if we cast cures on them and get enough hate we could steal this mob. But i held that suggestion back because if we didnt' get enough hate we just gave them free cures and a possible win. So now the second NIN that has come to camp has now died. So now we are back downt to a weak NIN and a THF. The orignal NIN must have lost weakness sometime shortly after the second NIN died because he started fighting again. So my party is again waiting for these two to drop but they are slowly killing the NM from 39% down to 32% then the NIN dies from what look like two very quick strikes and from what my party memembers said they were two critcals also(OUCH). Now we are down to the THF he gets hit once during his casting but is not interrupted and is down to 2% life. TWO PERCENT. This THF is a machine man i am telling you. He solo's this thing for what seems to be 10 mins mostly likely not but he takes it from 32% to 29% before he finally dies. During this time our party is buffing up. Protect 5, stoneskins, blink, reraise items the whole 9. As soon as the THF dies we all cast or use instant job abilites. Flash, provoke, stun, dia, etc. We get claim and their is acutally no one else around us. So the melees start hacking and slashing away doing between 5 and 10 damage. (Note: 6 of us were in PT only 5 were able to fight one member got agro =(, Plus our jobs were not damage heavy. We had a PLD, WHM, BLM (me), BLU, and THF, and SAM (dead)). So this is a very good thing Jody was already beaten down some. So after casting 5 enfeebs on her. BIO II, Shock, burn, choke, posion II all landed. From my experience she hit the PLD tank very weak, but had very good Def also. So i got really impatient and started casting. Thunder III i think hit for 500ish or so and then fire III for 400ish, so now i am really annoyed and i start blizzaga III LOL. Hits her for upper 600 and that got her attention. PLD gets hate back but just barely. I cast drain get a whooping 10 HP back (oh boy i am safe now). So being stupid and panicing i cast thunderga II LOL does like 200 or so but was enough to drawn enough hate to kill me. So i am pissed entirely at myself for not being control'd. I compelelty forgot about reraise, i was content to watch the rest of the fight. Then the little box on the left pops up accept raise. HELL YEA!!!. Got up mob is like 4 or 5% left on it. POP Elemental Seal, Manafont FLARE.


My days of busting my hump for Yigit Feet are over. I finally bug the piss out of enough people to get this:

Gloomy NPC Fun

(Notice: If you have not completed some of the NPC quests, this may contain some spoilers for you; read on with caution.)

I haven't really focused on my NPC since getting him a while back. But, slowly, it is becoming more and more fun. After leveling with my NPC for a while, and forgetting to check back with Luto, I discovered that I had passed through not one, but two weapon upgrades, as well as unlocked the Blighted Gloom quest. So, off I went to complete the quest.

As the quests go on, Luto seems more and more devious. I will have to keep my little Taru eye on her.

So, off Balu Falu and I went to track down this nasty slime. I changed to my BLM so I could toast it with ease. The fight was a joke, but I did let Balu get a few hits in before trashing the slime.

Then it was back to Luto for a bit of a chat. Annoyingly, I then had to turn right back around and head to KRT > Jugner Forest for a fun cut scene and some cool graphics.

Now, time to level Balu Falu to 51 for the next big quest. Only 15 levels to go! =/

First God Fight For LS

We had our first God fight last night was a great sucess. We had two zenith head drops and another cool head armor drop.

After that fight i bugged enough people to help me demo the walls so more. Only two more runs to go and that should give me my yigit feet.

And, finally my last two runs at for yigit feet were with different setups and under man power my greed for points wound up costing me some. So i shall return tonight to hopefully get my last 4.5k i need.

Delay in Updates

Well i have been really busy working some great overtime and doing some outside projects. I dont have alot completed yet or updated from last post. Somethings to note i have started selling almost all of my melee gear and started to re-foucs on BLM getting to 73+. I have also just put up 4 stacks of tree sapplings at 370k each. Hoping those sell over night. I have also inched a tad closer to my yigit feet. I now need just over 4500 points. I am hoping with my 4 tags i will have tonight that i will be able to close in on that and get them either tonight or saturday. I have also found what appears to be a sweet spot for my BLM to solo some XP in the new areas which i need badly because of my lack of IS Points. I will get some more info up hopfully over the weekend.

Update Weekend full of FUN!

Well the wife currently has me out in the real world doing alot of outside task right now. Just built and mostly finished my shed, have to build a ramp and fix the door handle. After that i get to start making a deck extension. So any ways back to the game world LOL. I finally progressed more in the COP storyline beating 4-3 The Secerts of Worship and then watching the cut scenes of 4-4 Slanderous Utterings. I am now currently on 5-1 i will be doing the cut scenes sometime shortly now. Most of all of my COP missions have been pick-up parties and i hear alot of ppl complaining about the missions but they are fairly simple with the right People not always needing the cookie cutter jobs.

Last pic real quick is this cool little taru fomor monk he was awesome. We also ran into a not so nice taru fomor BLM i didn't get his pic but he blood agro'd me which was not cool. Thank god i was the only one near the door because he did firaga something on me not sure of number and that wiped me out pretty quick.

Farming Fun

So, what is a taru to do when there doesn't seem to be anything exciting to do? He goes FARMING!

So, I cleaned out my inventory and headed to my favorite hunting grounds. My main target was beehive chips, but I got a few bonus items along the way.

Getting more gil is the focus for the next week or so. Then, it is back to leveling my Warrior.

One Step Closer

I moved one step closer to having all my Teleport scrolls for my WHM. My time on FFXI last night was very limited, however. I logged in long enough to wrap up my Teleport-Yhoat quest; I just had to travel to Kahzam and get the scroll.

I'm not entirely sure what my plans are for tonight - possibly leveling my WAR a bit more, or perhaps farming some beechips to HQ wax for a bit of cash. My gil reserves are dwindling quickly.

Yigit Crackows

So last night i inched a little bit closer to my yigit feet. I am now just waiting for my tags to refill so can do more assault runs. I have it down with 4 ppl and i think maybe i can do 3 ppl. But i am happy with 4 ppl its a guaranteed victory and we get 990 points from the event. So worst case I have 11 more runs to do. I plan to do 1 a day so that I can get my feet sometime next week. Hurray.
