Posting War Data
The Black Coffin
Yesterday, a few of us finished up with some of the ToAH missions so that we may take part in Salvage. It was a conglomerate of Moogle Army members and Rayneblood, a Guts member. We first completed ToAH Mission 13 which is an easy NM fight to get a coin to allow us onto the Black Coffin, the dreaded pirate ship lurking in the waters around Aht Urhgan.Once complete, we headed off toward the Black Coffin. Sadly, it involved a staging point which I did not have - the last of mine to get. So, I slowed everyone down as I marched my little Tarutaru butt through the undead invested regions of the Mire and the Reef to get my Runic Portal. On the way, a Soulflayer decided to True Sound me and start casting Thunder IV on me. I ran out of range, without ever losing Sneak and Invisible, and continued. He chased me through the Reef, but continued
to try to cast long duration spells, allowing me to always run away before the spell cast. Anyway, I made it to the point without further incident, even with Mr. Sunshine on my heels. (You may note that the link shows that a Soulflayer is 'True Sight'. Needless to say, he aggroed me from behind his back. Some people say there are literally true sight and true sound mobs. That being the case, this one is definitely sound based, or both.)
Once at the Black Coffin, we watched the cutscenes then tried to enter. Flotsam was missing the coin so he had to drop and we tried it with only 5 people. The only healer, other than the PLD's own healing skills, was a BLM. The basic plan was Jedi (WAR) and myself (THF) were to duo the mobs while the PLD, BLM and DRK focused on another. Jedi and I rocked through two of the mobs while Maddox (BLM) was on sleep/heal/nuke duty. We easily got through the first wave but failed to allow the BLM to rest MP back before taking on the second wave of undead. The captain was at around 50% HP when we wiped. We just didn't have enough healing power, and failed to sleep the second group as easily as the first.
We all returned to get some coins and fought the mission again, with only 5 - we picked up Flotsam (BLM) and lost a DRK. The fight went very smoothly with no difficulty.Congratulations to everyone for a fun fight.

RE: Flot's Warmazing!!
Flotsam And Jetsam Meet Death From Above

Flot decided to help me camp for my Hornetneedle, although I am very beyond the point on my THF where I should be using it. There are other alternatives at this point, but I still wanted it in my /inv.
Death From Above is a popped spawn, but we had no idea he hit like he did. Imagine a MNK using 100 Fists then haste about 100%. This thing was like a chipmonk on crack.
But, Flotsam summed it up very eloquently, as he always does. =)
I am alive, but Balu isn't
I can't let Flotsam post all the posts. But, my FFXI time has been fairly boring. Balu and I have been spending a lot of time out in M.Coast hunting Odqan for my elusive Bravo Subligar. While I know he has a very shitty drop rate, he is still fun to camp. Although, it is very hard sometimes to know if it is foggy out. I only know because I can see other Clusters on widescan. Here is my trusted companion, sporting some fine Seer Slacks which looks awesome with his Gold Armor set.
Here are some fun shots of Balu and I fighting him. Sadly, Balu fell in battle once when Odqan whipped out a Self-Destruct early in the fight.

New Parser
You can get the new parser here. Or, you can visit the blog for the parser here.
I have yet to try it, but it is getting glowing reviews; we will see later tonight hopefully.
UPDATE: After messing around with the parser, I can say it has potential, but it is still fairly new and missing some nice things. It doesn't parse everything, for one, which is a big issue. Thus, if you want a fully parsed fight you need to use another parser. But, it is good if you want to see things like your ACC, your damage (remember you can't really compare it to other party members at this point) and things like that. Overall, I think it will be better than the other parsers out there once it is done.

Get Your Parse On!
Remember, this parser is passive - meaning, it doesn't actively do anything with FFXI. It reads log files that FFXI generates. So, you do not need to worry about getting in trouble from SE by using this parser, as it doesn't read FFXI memory, or alter any FFXI related items.
Props to Tazz for this parser - it is very nice.

Getting Closer!!
Last night we had the goal set of taking out the 4 pots and Promethia. I had heard terrible things about the 4 pots BC. But before i get into that i have some random pics of the journey.
The Eo'ghrah have 4 form's sorry i didn't get a pic of all 4 but u will understand all of them but the ball for agro.
This is top of one tower i think Hume tower. We had to climb 3 which made the event a tad longer than normal, but so much fun.
Playing with pots and magic bursting fun.
Be warned there are spoiler pic's here.
So we finally get to the pots and we get our game plan Elemental Seal + Sleepga II on the pots they are supposed to be weak to black magic, so we will see. The four pots are made of 2 pairs a pair of smaller sized BLM's in the back and a pair of normal sized RDM's in the front.
Onto Promethia, group shot from the outside here.
This is a couple of Screen shots during the cut scene's and the floor in the fight.
